Our volunteers are the backbone of Safe Landing Together. Whether you can give a few hours a week or a full day each month, your time directly supports women and children rebuilding their lives.

Volunteer Roles

Front Desk

Welcome visitors, answer phones, and help residents with daily needs. Our front desk is the heart of the shelter.

Shifts: Morning (8am-12pm), Afternoon (12-5pm), Evening (5-9pm)

Kitchen

Help prepare meals for residents. We serve breakfast and dinner daily. No professional experience needed — just a willingness to help!

Shifts: Morning (8am-12pm), Evening (4-8pm)

Childcare

Supervise and engage children while their mothers attend appointments, job interviews, or simply take a much-needed break.

Shifts: Afternoon (12-5pm) — Background check required

Evening Supervisor

Oversee evening operations, ensure safety protocols, and be a calm presence during the quieter hours.

Shifts: Evening (5-9pm) — Experience preferred

How to Get Started

  1. Fill out our contact form expressing your interest
  2. Attend a 2-hour orientation session (held monthly)
  3. Complete a background check (we cover the cost)
  4. Get your login credentials for our volunteer scheduling portal
  5. Sign up for your first shift!
